Nah. But I must admit that Yahoo! Chat! didn't! help! my! typographic!
skillz! much!.  It was, unfortunately, my first contact with teh
In-tur-net.

After that, I set about finding my own kind and wound up with the rest
of the arrogant, argumentative elite of comp.lang.perl.misc toward the
end of last century.

I also find I misinterpret other people's statements when their senses
of humour overlap mine.  In such cases, better to be /passe'/ and use
smilies.  YMMV.

Whew. Went a whole post w/o a smilie.  Yay!
