>POSITION:

>JOB DUTIES (include):
>Provides both research and administrative assistance to the Northern 
>Nevada Coordinator.
>Drafts briefing papers regarding issues on the ACLUNV agenda.
>Assists in scheduling and provides support for presentations.
>Develops and maintains databases and files for contacts and 
>historical records.
>Researches information for special projects and drafts memoranda 
>where appropriate under supervision of Northern Nevada Coordinator.
>Works in conjunction with Las Vegas office in processing and 
>reporting on intake, telephone calls and correspondence.
>May assist in maintaining and updating ACLU website.
>Assists in distribution of ACLU information materials to public.
>Prepares and submits weekly activity report.
>Other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

>REQUIREMENTS:
>Position requires highly organized individual with good writing 
>ability, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Some 
>knowledge of the legislative process and interest in civil liberties 
>is helpful. Some proficiency with computer skills desirable. The 
>successful candidate must be a self starter and able to work 
>effectively with minimal supervision.

>HOURS:
>Part time (flexible) - 40 hours total PER MONTH (~10 hours per week) 
>at $8.00 to $9.00 per hour.
