            Dear Barb,

The Nevada legislature just passed an important bill to provide you with powerful new protection from identity theft--and TODAY Governor Guinn just signed it into law!

Thank Governor Guinn for signing SB 80!

Virtually every week there's another news story about a company that has put consumers at risk of identity theft because sensitive data about them has been lost or stolen. All these identity theft scandals have made it clear that consumers need stronger tools to protect themselves from such fraud.

SB 80 gives consumers the right to put a security freeze on our credit files. A security freeze gives you control over access to your credit files for purposes of granting credit. If access to the credit file is frozen, the identity thief is stopped cold and can't get new credit in your name! This month's Money Magazine calls this a key reform for stopping identity theft!

Its always appropriate to thank public officials for doing the right thing! Please thank Governor Guinn for his support in signing SB 80 into law!

Be sure and forward this to your friends and family as well, so they too can help!

            Sincerely,
            Michael McCauley
