County

There were 6 in attendance, 4 members (Tracy,Jason, Charles & Barb) and two interested persons, Bob Giaquinta and Lauri Sampson.
We discussed how the name of the party is misleading because we are not solely concerned with green environmental issues and this can be a turn-off to people who do not want to belong to a party with only those interests.
We spoke with Paul Etxberri & Anthony Stong of the NV Green Party in Reno on the phone. It was decided that we (in Clark County) would be responsible for contacting the Secretary of State prior to August 1st to renew our status as a political party in Nevada. The Clark County green Party will become the NV Green Party. We will register two sites or addresses with the NV Secretary of State, one in Clark County & the other in Reno.
Anthony Stong and Barbara Ewing will be the Co-chairs of the NV Green Party. We need to also find a secretary and treasurer for our combined locations. We in Clark County need to look up the Bylaws for the NV Green Party (as listed with the Secretary of State of NV at http://sos.state.nv.us/nvelection/parties.htm and make changes so that they are the same as the Bylaws of the NV Green Party of Clark County. Charles Imboden suggested we check the Bylaws to find out what constitutes a quorum, etc. before we make the changes final.
Charles stated he was interested in attending the national Green Party convention in Tulsa from July 21st to 24th. Barb has phoned Paul Juntenen to ascertain that he is also intending to go and gave him Charles' contact information. Paul indicated that there may be 2 others who might attend from the Reno area as alternates.
Tracy will contact other Greens in CA regarding how they organize their state & local operations, co-mingling of funds, etc.
We decided that it would be beneficial to meet once every two months in Tonopah.
Barb will contact Brett of the Boise Green Party regarding assistance with the Pinion pines issue.
Meeting was adjourned.
